The defending scoring champ got his final EYBL campaign off to a tremendous start, using his smooth and deadly offensive style to slice and dice his way to 21 points a game. More importantly, his Howard Pulley (MN) squad went undefeated on the weekend, playing a great team game and proving they were much more than Mr. Trent. The 6-foot-5 got after it on both ends of the floor, looking focused and making all the right decisions with the ball in his hands.

Few teams have seen as dramatic a turnaround in the last year as Expressions, and a ton of credit is due to Waters, who acts as a second coach for a stacked rotation. Waters can do it all, whether it is filling up the scoring column, running the break for easy buckets, or turning up the heat the defensive side of the ball, and Expressions is clearly benefitting from having him run the show. Waters can really shoot it so look for him to win a game or two with a late scoring binge.

Bowen has the length and size to play big, as well as the skill and athleticism to play the two, making him a walking mismatch on the floor. The La Lumiere (IN) star showed that his transition to the EYBL will be a smooth one, displaying a rare combination of elite rebounding instincts and a complete offensive game. Bowen’s presence makes MeanStreets a contender, with his ability to lead and effect the game in so many ways making his whole team better. On top of that, he's a contender for the EYBL All-Defensive Team. Bowen is a stud, and you can expect him on this list later this season.

A three-year EYBL star, Washington continued to show off one of the most diverse skill-sets in the country in NYC. Playing more like a point forward and controlling the ball on nearly every possession and creating headaches for the other team with his ability to take on smaller players on defense while holding his own in the paint. The motor that keeps Team Penny (TN) going, Washington has clearly been putting in work on a jumper that may have been holding him back in years past.

The hype surrounding this young man coming into the EYBL season cannot be understated, and while some may have struggled (especially after missing nearly the entire HS season), Bagley backed up that hype and then some with a superb first weekend. The budding star was hitting three’s , baby hooks, and everything in between with a handful of highlight-reel dunks sprinkled in, all while controlling the paint on the defensive end with Cody Riley. The scary part for the rest of the league? Bagley is just getting warmed up.
