1. Howard Pulley Panthers (MN)

Howard Pulley closed the first two sessions as the lone undefeated team across the EYBL board. Excellent coaching, team chemistry and a proven star in Gary Trent Jr. has catapulted this team to No. 1 spot, but they aren’t satisfied yet. This group will enter Hampton with a 25-0 record on the grassroots season.

2. Team Final (PA)

Team Final heads up a three-way log-jam behind Pulley. Their closely-contested win over PSA ultimately landed them in the No. 2 spot, and led by star Lonnie Walker, they will have their work cut out for them the rest of the way out. Head coach Aaron Burt has a highly-skilled, veteran group that plays with a chip on their shoulder, and they looked primed to make a deep run in July.

3. PSA Cardinals (NY)

Led by Quade Green and Mo Bamba, PSA has arguably the most complete lineup on the circuit. Green has 77 assists through seven games, and Bamba is the league’s leading rebounder (13.9 RPG). The two MVP candidates head up a balanced rotation for head coach Munch Williams, with their only knock being their ability to put teams away.

4. MOKAN Elite (KS)

Michael Porter Jr. and Trae Young make up the most prolific scoring duo in the EYBL, and their teammates have been just as good so far. This squad can score with the best of them, and will ultimately go as far as Porter and Young take them. MOKAN has some major wins through the first two sessions, and aside from a close loss to No. 3 PSA Cardinals, they haven't really been tested through the first two sessions.

5. California Supreme

Twin towers Brandon McCoy and DeAndre Ayton have been spectacular thus far, especially in Indianapolis, teaming up to earn co-MVP honors. The rest of the squad knows their role, and with the emergence of Ethan Thompson and Jordan Schakel in the backcourt, Supreme is a major contender for the Peach Jam crown.

6. Team Penny (TN)

The rich get richer, as PJ Washington and company welcome 2017 star and former We All Can Go guard John Petty Jr. Washington is one of the best players in the country, and with a talent rotation surrounding him, Penny finds themselves as major contenders. This group is well-coached, very disciplined and should only get better with the addition of Petty in the backcourt.

7. Spiece Indy Heat (IN)

While they only go eight deep, Spiece deploys a gigantic rotation, and have plenty of talent to accompany their size. With six players over 6-foot-8, only a handful of teams can contest with Spiece’s size and strength. Freshman star Tyger Campbell joined Spiece last weekend, and if he joins them in Hampton, Spiece will be a force to be reckoned with.

8. The RENS (NY)

Hamidou Diallo has turned himself into an instant MVP candidate, and with a plethora of talent surrounding him, the RENS have quickly cemented themselves as contenders. They don’t have ideal size, but they more than make up for it with their elite guard play and defense. Head coach Andy Borman knows it’s a marathon and not a sprint, so expect the RENS to perform at a high level in Hampton.

9. Albany City Rocks (NY)

The City Rocks, notoriously underrated, are at it again. Riding upstart forward Anthony Gaines, the Rocks are off to a 5-2 start, and they’ve proven they can compete with anyone. A tough loss to Howard Pulley keeps them from being ranked higher through two sessions, and they’ll use that as motivation as they head into Hampton. This team is for real, and if Andrew Platek continues his impressive 2016 campaign, the Rocks will be on this list the entire season.

10. Team Takeover (DC)

Team Takeover sprinted out of the gates behind veterans Chris Lykes and DJ Harvey. Lykes is very comparable to Tyler Ulis in 2013, as the diminutive point guard has taken the league by storm while putting up monstrous numbers. Takeover always plays elite defense and because Keith Stevens is their coach, it’s a certainty that they are tough as nails. Through seven games, this squad has proven that they can compete with anyone, and Lykes has turned himself into a dark horse MVP candidate in the process.
