Another weekend of EYBL action, another double-digit assist average for the PSA floor general. On his way to one of the best regular seasons by an AAU point guard, Green was sensational once again in the league’s final stop before Peach Jam, upping his scoring numbers as well as continuing to harass opposing guards into coughing up the rock. Green’s brilliance in all facets of the game have worked wonders for the Cardinals, who have a talented roster and will be a force to be reckoned with in South Augusta.

As Mr. Trent, Jr. wrapped up another regular season of being one of the nation’s top scoring guards, this June and July will have a slightly different feel than last year. That’s because the combo guard’s Howard Pulley team stands as one of the favorites to take it all in South Augusta, and having a veteran leader like Trent, Jr. will undoubtedly pay off for the young Panthers. Trent, Jr. was fantastic doing the little things in Atlanta; being one of his team’s top rebounders and playmakers once again while altering games with his play on the defensive end.

Few teams and players have finished a season as Cain and The Family Detroit did in Atlanta, as they were impressive to say the least in going 5-0. Cain’s ballhandling and nose for the basket were on full display during the season’s final weekend, as the combo guard set the tone for the rest of his team with his ability to take over a game at any time. He was as effective as ever with his jumper, which has improved in consistency throughout the spring and stands to get much better.

Brown has been a consistently great performer since his breakout first session back in April, and though his South Beach team finished with a so-so 2-3 record, the all-around wing was too good not to be on this team. A true leader who does whatever it takes to get a victory, Brown was at his best when the ball was in his hands in crunch time, where there was seemingly nobody who could stop him from doing whatever he pleased. Brown is primed for a big summer ahead.

Bagley III has exceeded expectations in his first year playing 17U on the circuit, and the young big man had his best weekend yet by being an unstoppable scorer throughout the session. A jumper that has seen vast improvement even since April was humming all weekend, and combined with Bagley’s stellar post-up game and guard skills it gave him a bag of tricks that he used to drop nearly 25 per game. As Bagley will be returning next season, it should come as no surprise that he will be on MVP watch from the opening tip in 2017.
